Motorcyclists in the “Look Twice Save A Life” Motorcycle Safety Ride took to the road in August last year. The parade-style ride, which ended at Bumpus Harley-Davidson Shop of Collierville, drew approximately 900 motorcyclists. This year’s ride will be May 15, during National Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month.
Motorcycle riders regularly rumble along Collierville roads and plans to make the town an even bigger draw for them are being laid. One sign of Collierville’s popularity among riders is its claim to two businesses geared to motorcyclists. Bumpus Harley-Davidson Shop of Collierville at 325 South Byhalia Road will celebrate its fifth year in April, and The Recycle Biker Shop at 747 West Poplar, occupying 3,000 square feet in suites 101-103, opened in July.
