Houston High School junior Kris Ruaro (second from right) recently won the eighth 
annual Orpheum Star Search competition. Performing a rendition of Michael Buble’s “Feeling Good,” Ruaro competed against 13 other finalists to take the top prize, which included a $3,500 savings bond and two upcoming performance opportunities. 
Ruaro is a member of the Houston High School show choir. Show choir members,
